Panther Creek Wind Farm
The
Panther Creek complex is a 3-phase project consisting of 305 General
Electric 1.5 MW SLE Turbines capable of generating more than 450
megawatts, or enough electricity to power 135,000 homes. The three
phases of Panther Creek are located near E.ON's Sand Bluff and Forest
Creek wind farms in West Texas, with a footprint spanning parts of
Glasscock, Sterling and Howard counties. Revenues from Panther Creek
have helped fund significant new initiatives at local schools.
