Papalote Creek Wind Farm
Rising
from the farmland of San Patricio County, Papalote Creek Wind Farm is
E.ON’s first south Texas project as well as our first US project using
Vestas wind turbines. Moving forward with the support of over 80
landowners, Papalote Creek provides enough clean wind power to
supply about 54,000 American homes while avoiding more then 324,000
tons of carbon dioxide emissions and saving a quarter of a billion
gallons of fresh water every year compared with a conventional
steam-driven fossil fuel plant.

- Operational Date: Fall 2009
- Turbines: 109 Vestas V82 1.65 MW Turbines
- Nameplate Capacity: 179.85 MW
